We’re so grateful you're carving out time from your summer to celebrate with us—it means the world. Door County holds a special place in our hearts, and we truly believe it’s worth exploring beyond the wedding weekend. If you’re able, we recommend coming a few days early to take in the charm.

Getting around by car is super easy, but Ubers and Lyfts are limited in the area. For convenience, we suggest staying in Sister Bay or Baileys Harbor—just ten minutes apart and both close to the festivities.​​

If you're arriving early, there are plenty of wonderful spots along the peninsula near Sister Bay and Baileys Harbor to explore. We don’t recommend staying in Sturgeon Bay, as it’s quite a drive—especially late at night.

Door County is beloved for its small-town charm and fills up fast in the summer, so we suggest booking accommodations soon. It’s a hidden gem that families return to year after year—and we want to make sure you’re comfy, relaxed, and ready to celebrate!
SISTER BAY, WI
Sister Bay is ideal for night owls and dolly-dos. Most bars and restaurants are walkable from welcome drinks, and a free shuttle runs around town. We will also have wedding shuttles running to and from Sister Bay's Birchwood Lodge for cocktail hour and after the reception on the big day. Birchwood Lodge is walking distance to many AirBnbs/Vrbos listed below and additional hotels.
BAILEY'S HARBOR, WI
Our wedding ceremony and reception will take place in beautiful Baileys Harbor, surrounded by lake views, tall pines, and that signature Door County calm. While it's the heart of the festivities, we recommend those looking to drink to stay in Sister Bay in order to take advantage of the shuttles. We do not recommend walking on dark-county roads during the Friday festivities - hello NY!
Gordon Lodge
Gordon Lodge is where we are hosting our reception. Most of the lodging is blocked for a wedding on Saturday. However, if you happen to find a room you'd prefer to stay at, you can book here. Please note, transportation will be bringing individuals to and from Gordon Lodge to downtown Sister Bay.
Hotel Room Block
We've selected a primary hotel at Birchwood Lodge for our room blocks where shuttles will pick-up and drop-off for the reception. This is also walking distance to Thursday night Welcome Drinks as well as majority of activities, restaurants, beaches and bars. Calling to reserve is the easiest option with keyword: Buckley. Online bookings have not opened up yet, but due to demand, we recommend reserving via phone at your earliest convenience.
NOTES FOR ROOM BLOCK: ATTENDEES ARE REQUIRED TO STAY FROM FRIDAY 7/31 – SUNDAY 8/2 IN ORDER TO BOOK THE ROOM BLOCK. 7/30 IS OPTIONAL FOR THIS STAY WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND EARLIER OR LATER IF YOU'D LIKE TO STAY AND EXPLORE. WE HAVE SELECTED PREMIER SUITES AT $255/NIGHT AT THE BIRCHWOOD LODGE UNDER BUCKLEY.

THE STANDARD SUITE IS AN EXPANDED STUDIO UNIT WITH A UNIQUE DESIGN – THE PERFECT ARRANGEMENT FOR TWO PEOPLE, OR A FAMILY WITH SMALL CHILDREN. A KING SIZE BED IS CLEVERLY SITUATED NEAR THE JACUZZI BRAND DOUBLE WHIRLPOOL TUB, WITH A FULL VIEW OF THE GAS FIREPLACE AND FLAT SCREEN TV/DVD ABOVE. THE QUEEN SIZE SLEEPER SOFA PROVIDES CASUAL SEATING AND EXTRA SLEEPING SPACE FOR UP TO TWO ADDITIONAL PEOPLE. A KITCHENETTE, SMALL DINING AREA, FULL BATH AND PRIVATE DECK OR BALCONY COMPLETE THE SPACE. ALL PREMIER SUITES HAVE WIFI. THERE IS SMALL GYM, INDOOR/OUTDOOR POOL, PLAYGROUNDS AND OUTDOOR GRILLS FOR YOUR ACCOMMODATION.
